When reading the above scripture, one might imagine within their mind, that poverty, wealth and food are physical things. And they are, but as we dig further for the hidden meanings of Father’s Word we also find that poverty, wealth and food are also spiritual things.
I do not have to tell anyone that we are in trying times. Times in which we are all tested in various ways and experience many different tribulations, whether it be spiritually or physically this scripture applies to both and when one is tested physically it can, and most often also affects the spirit.
While Father provides for us physically, in the wide range of physical gifts that She offers, She also provides for us spiritually. And it is completely possible to be rich physically but also have poverty of the heart and just as easily one can be poor physically and be rich of heart.
Poverty of the heart is a lacking within of spiritual things. The things that we grow spiritually from and that help us to grow closer to Her. To be impoverished within one’s heart is to be lacking of Father’s Spirit.
There are many, multitudes even, who are suffering from poverty of the heart. They lack that which is necessary for salvation. The conditions of their hearts are scant and insufficient, and they are no longer receptive to truth.
Living in a time in which falsehoods and deceit affect one’s heart, to pray for neither poverty nor wealth and just the food that one needs, is simply asking Father to keep us safe spiritually and in the truth that lights Her path for us.
But we must not be greedy. We must not ask for more than we need, but rather only what we need. For day to day Father knows all our needs and will provide what is required and when it is required, for often one can need more one day than the next. Leave the portion sizes up to Father and do not be greedy or wasteful.
If only we trust in Her to provide as She always has, She will give us exactly what we need both physically, and more importantly, spiritually.
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the sky: they don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?
Turn your back on and walk away from that which is false and deceitful. Trust and have faith and you will not experience poverty of the heart. Be content with what you have and in all things humbly give thanks to the One who provides them.
