Isaiah 40:12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked off the heavens with the span [of his hand]? Who has gathered the dust of the earth in a measure or weighed the mountains in a balance and the hills in scales? Everything in creation has balance. Night and day, rain and shine, water and earth, happiness and sadness, love and hate, pride and humility, predator and prey, positive and negative, good and evil. In nature, there is a theory that there is a delicate balance in ecological systems in which any small change in some particular parameter, like the size of a population, that will be corrected by feedback that will bring things back into a point of balance with the rest of the system. We see delicate balances in the human body and mind, behaviors and even in socially within our own circles. Any upset in this balance can cause problems that if not corrected, could lead to issues, problems and sometimes ultimately calamity. I think of Yahweh as being perfect balance and the One who controls the delicate balances within Her creation. Proverbs 16:11 Honest balances and scales are the LORD's; all the weights in the bag are His concern. What we observe in the world right now is creation out of balance. Out of balance with Yahweh, in nature, in ourselves. And when you think about how difficult it can be to maintain balance within yourself and your own life, imagine how amazing Yahweh is to be able to maintain the balance of Her entire creation. Right now it is broken and filled with cancerous evil that rages among us and it is mirrored in the world around us, not only in how we treat one another but also in how the balance of nature and living things is so out of whack. It has been this way from the moment Dawn Lucifer Satan the Devil rebelled against Father and he caused an upset in the delicate balance of creation but the hope lies in knowing that Yahweh has a plan that will bring Her creation back into balance. It’s this matter of balance that the Spiritual War is all about - balancing the scales of justice but also of Her creation and bringing balance back to Father’s good name through sanctification and vindication. Revelation 6:5 [ The Third Seal ] When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" And I looked, and there was a black horse. The horseman on it had a balance scale in his hand. While only Yahweh knows exactly how and when this will be completed, we can each do our best at bringing balance to creation by starting with ourselves. By introspectively searching our own hearts and uprooting that which is considered evil in Yahweh’s sight and by searching with whole hearts for Yahweh. It’s in starting with ourselves that we can help restore balance and in knowing that we too will be weighed by what is in our hearts, we humbly listen for Her guidance and direction and follow Her instruction. Job 31:6 let God weigh me with an accurate balance, and He will recognize my integrity. Remaining in balance with Yahweh, the Holy Family and Her creation also means exhibiting obedience, faith, loyalty and love. In following Her commandments we are in balance with Her and Her plan and in union with Her will. Strive each day to maintain this balance, and our integrity, so that we might be counted worthy of admission into Christ’s Kingdom and eternal life. Add Comment This Too Shall Pass by: Helen Steiner Rice If I can endure for this minute Whatever is happening to me, No matter how heavy my heart is Or how dark the moment may be- If I can remain calm and quiet With all the world crashing about me, Secure in the knowledge God loves me When everyone else seems to doubt me- If I can but keep on believing What I know in my heart to be true, That darkness will fade with the morning And that this will pass away, too- Then nothing in life can defeat me For as long as this knowledge remains I can suffer whatever is happening For I know God will break all of the chains That are binding me tight in the darkness And trying to fill me with fear- For there is no night without dawning And I know that my morning is near. What would be worse? To be physically blind, or to be blind to truth? Have you ever pondered this question before? Until tonight, I hadn’t, but I feel urged to ponder it now so that we all might grow together in the knowledge, understanding and wisdom which brings us strength and is provided only by the Holy Spirit of Yahweh. Certainly to lose one’s physical sight would not be a pleasant thing as there is much beauty in the world that Father and The Word created and it would most definitely make life more difficult in many ways. But in my opinion, it would be far worse to be blind to the truth, because to be blinded to the truth could mean the loss of your eternal life. Blindness is mentioned frequently in the scriptures, and while sometimes it does refer to an actual physical state of being without sight, it also many times, if not most of the time, refers to lacking consciousness or awareness and to be lacking in the awareness of the truth, of reality, is to be blind to it. Yet, in this very day and age we see so many who, whether they realize it or not, prefer being blind to truth over physical blindness and for the life of me I cannot tell you why. I wish that I did, because I am very interested in human nature and it would make it easier for me to understand - but perhaps it’s not for me to understand, as it is a matter of the heart and not human nature. Or perhaps they are intertwined. All I know is that blindness is rampant in these End Times, and people time and time again turn away from truth and in essence, blind themselves to reality. Jeremiah 17:9 [The Deceitful Heart ] The heart is more deceitful than anything else and desperately sick - who can understand it? And even as I write this and continue to ponder the topic of this article, I see Father Yahweh’s direction... Mark 10:51 Then Jesus answered him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" "Rabbouni," the blind man told Him, "I want to see!" “I want to see!” - this is the answer. One has to want to see in order to see, otherwise, one remains blind because physical blindness is of the eyes, but spiritual blindness is of the heart. I’m certain that we all know or have friends, co-workers or loved one’s who are blind to truth. Those who have placed more faith and trust in the people and things of this world than in our heavenly Father. And it can be a very difficult thing because those who are blind would like for those who are in truth to be blinded too and follow them rather than what is in our hearts. This is a snare that we must be sure to be aware of because it takes strength to stand strong in our conviction for truth, so be on guard at all times. Matthew 15:14 Leave them alone! They are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit." Our Savior, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life performed many miracles in regards to blindness and had this to say on the subject: John 9:39 Jesus said, "I came into this world for judgment, in order that those who do not see will see and those who do see will become blind." Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim freedom to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free the oppressed, May we all continually pray that we remain in truth and that our hearts continue to see and that we are not blinded. May our eyes remain wide open and focused on Yahweh and Her son Christ Jesus, who came to give sight to the blind and who, through his death on the cross and via our belief in him as our Lord and Savior and a humble heart we might be saved. The first mention of the word ‘hope’ in the Scriptures occurs in the book of Ruth. After that, it is mentioned many times in the book of Job and as you probably already know, and in case you don’t, Job is an account of a man who has lost everything he once had that was of value to him. He experienced great loss and struggled to hold on to hope in his future. He lost his family, his home, his livelihood and today, we see and hear of a lot of these same things happening to those around us whether it be happening to us, or we hear about it through friends and family or in the news. Many are struggling and so desperately need hope. These are terrible times for many but things are also byproducts of the Great Tribulation - a time in which our faith is tested and hope, for some, can become a glimmering thing of the past. It seems an opportune time to discuss hope, with the New Year just a few days away, because each year we celebrate this time of year with great merriment and hope. It’s a new year and another chance to make things right, particularly if your current year or previous years have been less than good. We even make resolutions that are designed to structure the upcoming year and fill it with good things that will promote change in our lives and in these things we also have hope. But what most don’t realize is that we can celebrate a New Year any day of the year - for the time being anyway - if only we resolves ourselves to following in Christ’s footsteps and placing our faith, trust and hope in God. When we ministers speak of the Great Tribulation, the Rapture and of Armageddon in an effort to warn people of what is happening and what lays just ahead so that they might prepare their hearts and have hope for the future, many people without belief, faith and hope refer to us as ‘doomsayers’ who predict misfortune or disaster or calamity at every opportunity. But where they are wrong about this is that a doomsayer does not share a message of hope, and we do. Because you see, what we know and see and wish to share with all of you is not the end - but a beginning. Psalm 25:1 LORD, I turn my hope to You. Psalm 31:24 Be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD. Psalm 33:22 May Your faithful love rest on us, LORD, for we put our hope in You. Psalm 37:9 For evildoers will be destroyed, but those who put their hope in the LORD will inherit the land. Psalm 39:7 "Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You. Psalm 42:5 Why am I so depressed? Why this turmoil within me? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise Him, my Savior and my God. As you can see in the scriptures quoted above, the book of Psalms brings many messages of hope and these are just a handful of them! None of them describe putting hope in anyone but the One who can rescue - our heavenly Father Yahweh. So yes, this world stinks right now. It is depressing, full of hatred, wars, violence and the love of many things that are not righteous or even important in the big scheme of things. But we have hope and we want to share that hope with you! Hope because while we are experiencing the Great Tribulation which leads to Armageddon and the pouring out of Father’s wrath, there will also be a Rapture of Yahweh’s faithful from the earth to safety for those who have accepted Christ Jesus as their Lord and Savior and also have a good heart condition. Hope because while this earth and everything on it will pass away, the earth itself will not - it will be transformed and made new new again. Hope because while there will be a time of great destruction it will lead to an eternity of peace. 1 Thessalonians 5:7-10 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But since we are of the day, we must be sober and put on the armor of faith and love on our chests and put on a helmet of the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us While we all currently live in this world and are eye-witnesses to many terrible things, we must all also look beyond this world because this is what brings hope and happiness. We look beyond this world because we have been enlightened, we are of the day and the eyes of our hearts can see, and in seeing we have accepted Christ Jesus as our Lord and Savior and the message as truth and because of this are being prepared for what lies ahead so that we might be strong, courageous and remain faithful in Father’s sight. In having the hope of salvation from this old dying world we reach for Father’s light and hold on...with both hands. With both hands because we cannot cling to this world with one hand while reaching for Father with the other - we would risk be torn apart. But instead with full faith and hope we do not sit on the fence; instead we have chosen our side and set our sights on Yahweh and Her promise and we move forward with gusto and zeal. There’s no turning back, no looking back...just holding on with great hope, and great love for our Creator who will rescue Her faithful children from calamity. | AuthorRegina, Light of Life Minister ArchivesOctober 2011 CategoriesAll |
