Jesus Wept 08/26/2009

John 11:35 “Jesus Wept.” is widely known as one of the shortest verses in the Bible. For me, it is also one of the most touching. It leaps from the page, grips my heart and gives it a good squeeze each time I read it. It’s interesting how this very short scripture can and does evoke so much within your heart as well as your thoughts when you truly sit down and ponder what it means and what it is meant to show us about this man who became our Savior.

I can’t sit down and watch the Passion of the Christ without crying through nearly the entire movie. And I often think of Christ Jesus, and who he was as a man; of his humanity, and how this soul, that was created by Father Yahweh before all others as The Word, Michael the Archangel, became man and lived for 33 years in the flesh, on this earth and among all living things that he bi-created. I wonder what his thoughts were, and what he was thinking and feeling deep down inside as he cried in the John 11 account, and if the tears that he shed for his dear friend Lazarus whom he loved and the suffering of Lazarus’ family were also perhaps symbolic of the tears that he might shed for those of mankind who suffer and are lost.

There are many accounts on the human emotions that Christ Jesus felt. Anger, frustration, sadness, fear, love, pity, compassion, even a need for companionship… and somehow, reading these accounts and pondering how he must have felt deep down inside provides a glimpse of the man he was and draws us closer to him in the realization that he felt the same things that we do, and faced the same temptations, and he warriored through it all and was victorious over the same powers of darkness that attempted to keep him from fulfilling his mission.

Our Savior was human, in every way that we are human and with all the human emotions that make us unique creations created in Father’s image. Emotions are something though, that transcends the veil and extends into even the unseen spiritual realm. Yes, they are human, but they are also spiritual. Emotions are something that we all share with Christ Jesus, Father Yahweh, the Holy Angels and Ghosts and mankind; and even with portions of the animal kingdom. Emotions are a commonality that binds us together and that we can all relate to and in thinking about how Jesus wept, makes it easier to relate to him as well.

While I look upon our Savior with admiration and awe, I also look upon him as an amazing and spiritual human being, who perfectly did each day what we struggle to do. He freely expressed as well as mastered his own emotions, listened intently to his Father and obediently followed Yahweh’s commands and in the process brought glory to Her in so many ways, including becoming our Savior as well as a shining example for us all.

Fear
- Noun
1. A distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the treat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.
2. A specific instance of or propensity for such a feeling.
3. Concern or anxiety; solicitude.
4. Reverential awe, esp. toward God.
5. That which causes a feeling of being afraid; that of which a person is afraid.

In these End Times, those who believe in God seem to have two opposing views of our heavenly Father. Either She is a God of only love, or, She is a God with no compassion at all for Her creation. Both sets of people have not come to a full understanding of Father’s true nature.

Where those speak of Father as being a God without compassion because of ordering executions upon mankind, they have not come to fear or know Father. She is a God to be feared. She is not idle and She does not work without a plan to salvage Her creation from the clutches of rebellion.

In my service to Father these past years, I have come to a greater understanding of the One that I serve. However, do I serve Her out of fear of annihilation? No. I serve Her out of love, just as all of Father’s Holy Family does.

Job 28:28 He said to mankind, "Look! The fear of the Lord—that is wisdom, and to turn from evil is understanding."

Do I also fear Her? Yes, I do. Because I have also come to an understanding of Her true nature and have a reverential awe for Her. I fully understand and accept that as our Creator, She is to be honored and obeyed. And, I understand what the end result is for being willfully disobedient. Death.

Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His instructions have good insight. His praise endures forever.

Actor and comedian Bill Cosby has been quoted as saying, “My father established our relationship when I was seven years old. He looked at me and said, "You know, I brought you in this world, and I can take you out. And it don't make no difference to me, I'll make another one look just like you."

Now our heavenly Father has never said that, but She did bring us into this world and She can take us out of it. And, I know that it would make a difference to Her, as Her wish is for all Her children to live for eternity and that not a single life be lost. But it is also Her wish that we should all be obedient to Her and follow Her laws, just as She follows Her own laws.

In order to understand why a judgment must come, we simply must see the world with all its evils, problems, imbalances, worries and anxieties is SO VERY FAR OFF from Her original plan! We must see and understand that no matter how good a person we may think we are, we are all sinners and come to an acceptance and understanding as to why we must discard our old personalities to become in line with that which She expects of us – not to expect Her to accept us as we are. We must also see, accept and agree as to why it is necessary for all evil to be removed from Her creation so that it may be cleansed and Her true plan for Her creation may unfold and come into fruition. Her plan is to SALVAGE creation, and this is why Her son and our Savior Christ Jesus died for us.

Isaiah 33:6 There will be times of security for you— a storehouse of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD is Zion's treasure.

Colossians 2:20 "If you died with Christ to the elemental forces of this world, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world? Why do you submit to regulations:"

To be with Christ and Father, your old personality that reflects Satan's elemental body of action must also be killed off. In that, you must discard the old personality of living for Satan's way that presently exists, and look to Father's Way.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Those who do not fear Father are fools, because they despise both wisdom and instruction. They expect our glorious Creator to bend the rules She established and She will never do that, because She is a God of supreme integrity. And why should She? Are we so intelligent? If you look around you will see that we are not…as this world crumbles around us in a destruction that we at least partially are responsible for. We must look to Father’s Way, not Satan’s, and not our own, in order to take hold of the promise of eternal life.

Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

I know that for me, in the beginning of my journey of understanding, the fear of the LORD could sometimes be debilitating. More than anything I wanted, and still want, to please Her and to be a child that She can delight in. I wanted and still want, with all my heart, to serve Her in full obedience to Her laws. But that was just in the very beginning of my journey, when my eyes were first being opened to Truth and to Father’s true nature. Over time, I was humbled, and while the fear remained, it was also coupled with understanding and then wisdom as She continued to share Her knowledge with me and I came to know Her more. Over time, the fear seemed to balance out as I gained a different and more complete view and understanding of the One who Created us. Our loving Mother and Father, Yahweh. While I fear Her, I also love Her and as I grow to understand Her more, I also grow to love Her more.

Proverbs 15:33 The fear of the LORD is wisdom's instruction, and humility comes before honor.

Isaiah 11:2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him —
a Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
a Spirit of counsel and strength,
a Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

Fear of Father Yahweh is to know that She holds the power over eternal life or eternal death. We should all endeavor to understand Father's mind-set. Eternal life depends on our understanding of Father and what She expects from all of us.

Deuteronomy 5:29 "If only they had such a heart to fear Me and keep all My commands, so that they and their children will prosper forever."

FEAR is the Key to understanding Father. Without fear laws are broken and lives are lost. Harmony burns in a blazing fire.

Proverbs 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning people from the snares of death.

Proverbs 8:1-4
Doesn't Wisdom call out?
Doesn't Understanding make her voice heard?
2 At the heights overlooking the road,
at the crossroads, she takes her stand.
3 Beside the gates at the entry to the city,
at the main entrance, she cries out:
4 "People, I call out to you;
my cry is to mankind.

When at the Crossroads
Listen for the call
Salvation for one
Salvation for all.
Resist sin’s beckon
Look straight ahead
Walk in the footsteps
That our Savior tread.
The road of destruction
Grows wider each day
Her children are placed
Right in harm’s way.
They sound the message
In an effort to guide
Her children home
Past the road that is wide.
To reach the main road
We must travel this path
And accept the truth
To escape the wrath.
Once past the juncture
We will be at the gates
Admittance is waiting
And Eternity waits.
